The Chai Nat Highway District is responsible for controlling, renovating, and maintaining expressways, national highways, and concession highways within its jurisdiction. This is for the benefit of national development in transportation, economics, education, governance, and national defense, taking into account economic returns and national security, as well as providing convenience, speed, and safety for highway users and ensuring compliance with highway laws as per the Highway Act of 1992.
The Chai Nat Highway District prioritizes safety for road users, therefore, safety measures are implemented as a top priority. These include ensuring potholes on road surfaces, installing flashing lights at hazardous locations, replacing unclear traffic signals, installing additional warning signs for dangerous curves, ensuring complete traffic signs at intersections, installing reflective markers at U-turns, bridges, concrete walls, additional bridge guardrails, and clearly visible traffic signs.
